Her characters—whether it’s a blade-wielding rebel, a reluctant prince riding dragons, or a thief who accidentally saves the world—are as wounded as they are brave, and never content to tread the path destiny laid out for them.
She grew up running away into fairy tales, binge-reading fantasy novels under dim desk lamps, and sketching entire kingdoms in math class. Now she does the same thing with more coffee, fewer homework assignments, and an ever-growing collection of notebooks she doesn’t need (but absolutely loves).
